| A nursery based style of class which gives girls and boys a taste of ome of the basics of ballet, tap and disco dancing. Props, instruments, movement to music, story telling and acting etc are all used to stimulate their growing imagination. 45 minutes in duration. |
| A more structured class which begins to teach technique through fun learning. Rhythms, posture, style and most of all confidence is built during the ballet, tap and disco section of this class. Again props, instruments and imaginative movement is used. Pupils if they wish can be entered for dance examinations to help with gaining confidence and a sense of performance. One hour in duration. |
| Classes are now divided into 3 seperate sections and children choose which styles of dance they prefer. Classical ballet, tap and streetdanz are taught. Children will be given warm ups, technical exercises, travelling steps and dance routines. The emphasis is still fun but they are well structured so that we can begin a good technical base even from this early age. Examinations in each subject can be taken. This is not compulsory. One hour 30 minutes in duration. |
| FOR AGE 6 TO TEENAGERS. We now have seperate ballet, tap, streetdanz/jazz and hip hop classes in up to 5 grades. Children can choose between one and four subjects to concentrate on. We teach RAD ballet syllabus and ISTD tap and jazz syllabus. Both these associations provide excellent training aids for young dancers whether they wish to make dance their hobby or their career. |
| FOR AGE 5 UPWARDS. These classes were originally boys only but have become so popular that we now have some girls classes too. Kids are taught street jazz, hip hop, breaking, poppin, crumpin and much much more. They do quick games for warm ups, strengthening, stretching, routines with different styles and lots of tricks!!! Dance crews are formed and they can compete in dance events. |
| FOR AGE 4 UPWARDS. Zumbatomics is a fusion of dance incorporating latin and hip hop. It is great fun and perfect for those who do not want specific dance style classes. No uniform is needed and classes are usually split into to age groups - age 4-7 lil starz and age 8-12 big starz. They are taught warm ups, dance games, basic steps and routines from other countries and are encouraged to help choreograph some work of their own. |
